Axle Load Weight Restrictions

By-law 15-2013

Axle load weight restrictions are set each year to protect Peel Regional roads from excessive damage during the spring thaw.

From March 1 to April 30, any axle on a commercial motor vehicle or trailer weighing more than 5,000 kg (5 tonnes per axle) is NOT allowed on any Regional road listed below.

If you don't follow these rules you can be fined as per Section 125 of the Highway Traffic Act.

Commercial motor vehicles are axle load restricted on Winston Churchill Boulevard from Bovaird Drive West to Bush Street in Caledon at ALL TIMES.
