Stakeholder Information Session
As directed by Regional Council, an information session took place on Friday, February 16 to update stakeholders about the study including local union executive, executive members of the PPA, area fire services and their fire association representatives, hospitals and the CACC.
Summary of the Stakeholder Information Session
There was a strong willingness to work together to find the best solution to meet the needs of residents and emergency responders in Peel.
The information session consisted of a Presentation to Stakeholders (PDF 126KB, 21 pages) and time for questions and discussion. The presentation provided an overview of the project scope, schedule and plans moving forward. Stakeholders were invited to ask questions and participate in ongoing long term planning discussions. No recommendations were made at this session. All feasibility options will be carefully considered and discussed.
Stakeholders provided valuable insights and feedback. Concerns were raised about:
- the timeframe for project implementation
- the co-habitation model
- ongoing hospital off-load delays
- response times
