The Region of Peel has completed a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) study for watermain replacement to improve water quality and reliability of the water distribution system between Old Pine Street, Reid Drive, Queen Street and the section that currently crosses the Credit River.
The Class EA determined the preferred alternative for the watermain replacements is to construct new 400-mm watermains along Church Street, through the park and Credit River valley lands from Church Street to Reid Drive and along Reid Drive to Queen Street South. The preferred alternative also includes downsizing of the existing watermain along Queen Street South to 300-mm.
Project File Report
A Project File Report (PFR) documenting the study for this Class EA is available for review for thirty days (30) calendar days beginning May 22, 2013 at the following locations. It is also available on the Region of Peel website at: peelregion.ca/pw/water/environ-assess/streetsville.htm.
