Lakeview Water Treatment Plant, Power Failure

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BRAMPTON, ON. (July 1, 2011) Peel Region advises that due to a power failure this morning at its Lakeview Water Treatment Plant residents in Brampton and parts of Caledon, primarily to the east, may experience either low water pressure or water outages.

Staff are working to resolve the issue and full water pressure is being restored at this time.

The Regional Municipality of Peel was incorporated in 1974 on the principle that certain community and infrastructure services are most cost-effectively administered over a larger geographic area. The Region of Peel serves more than one million residents in the Cities of Mississauga and Brampton and the Town of Caledon.
