Registration Opens Today for Peel Regionís 2nd Annual Run, Walk, and Roll 5k to Support the United Way!
BRAMPTON, ON. (May 25, 2011) Ė Registration is now open for Peel Region's 2nd annual Run, Walk and Roll on Saturday, Oct. 29.† Featuring an accessible 5K route through Chinguacousy Park, a unique 1K Kidís Course and prizes in four categories, including best costumes, it's a donít miss Halloween weekend event for the whole family!
"Run, Walk, and Roll is all about coming together as a community," says Elka Vandenburg, Co-Chair of the Peel Region's 2011 United Way Employee Campaign.† "Whether you're a seasoned runner, a wheelchair athlete interested in chipped-timed results, a walker embarking on your first 5K, or a child discovering the thrill of a race, itís a chance for everyone to pursue their personal best and support the communities of Peel."††
All proceeds from the event benefit the United Way of Peel Region to help improve social conditions in the region.† Everyone is invited to come out as a participant, raise funds through pledging, join the volunteer team, or come on board as a corporate sponsor.† The first 500 registrants for the race receive a free official race technical t-shirt.† Visit Peel5K.ca to register!
