Region of Peel Holiday Hours
BRAMPTON, ON. (Dec. 16, 2011) - Many Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 25, 2011 to Jan. 2, 2012.
Residents in Brampton and Mississauga are reminded there will be no waste collection on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 due to the Christmas and New Yearís holidays.† Garbage and recycling (blue box and green bin) will be collected one day later.

Residents in Caledon are advised there will be no changes to their waste collection services due to the statutory holidays. Garbage and recycling (blue box, green bin and yard waste) will be collected on regularly scheduled days.
Community Recycling Centre Holiday Schedule:
The Region of Peelís CRCs will be closed on:
- Saturday, Dec. 24
- Sunday, Dec. 25
- Monday, Dec. 26
- Saturday, Dec. 31
- Sunday, Jan. 1
- The Caledon and Bolton CRCs will be closed on Monday, Jan. 2
CRCs will operate under regular hours and regular days of the week on all other days during the holiday period.
Human Services Resource Centres at 10 Peel Centre Dr. in Brampton and 7120 Hurontario St. in Mississauga will be closed from noon on Dec. 23 and will re-open at 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 3.
For emergencies related to food, shelter, medication and personal supports, call the Ontario Works After Hours line at 905-793-9200 or the Regionís main line at 905-791-7800.
- Ontario Works in Peeloffice and Employment Resource Centres close at noon on Dec. 23
- Peel Access to Housing, Peel Living, Rent Supplement and Childrenís Services Operations close at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 23
- Learn.Play.Care. Child Care Centres close at 6 p.m. on Dec. 23
All Healthy Sexuality Clinics will be closed Dec. 23 to 27; and Dec. 30 to Jan. 2.
The Bolton Healthy Sexuality Clinic, which normally operates on Mondays, will be closed on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, but will be open on Jan. 3 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
All breastfeeding clinic services at the Brampton Breastfeeding Clinic and the Peel Public Health Clinic - Meadowvale will be closed Dec. 23 to 27; and Dec. 30 to Jan. 2. Breastfeeding clinics operate by appointment only. To book an appointment, call 905-799-7700.
Peel Public Health will not be accepting water samples from Dec. 22 to Jan. 3. You may drop off your own sample directly to the Ontario Agency for Health Protection and Promotion Central Public Health Laboratory at 81 Resources Rd., Etobicoke.
TransHelp office will be closed Dec. 24 to Jan. 2. Holiday service hours are as follows:

- Sunday, Dec. 25 Full service: 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.
- Monday, Dec. 26 Taxi service only
- Tuesday, Dec. 27 to Friday, Dec. 30 Full service: 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.
- Saturday, Dec. 31 Full service: 6 a.m. to 3 a.m. (ride free from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m.)
- Sunday, Jan. 1 Taxi service only
- Monday, Jan. 2 Full service: 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Registered clients may continue to book trips as usual from Dec. 27 to 30 and Jan. 2 by calling the Customer Contact Centre at 905-791-1015 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
