Register Today for Region of Peel’s 2010 United Way Golf Tournament
BRAMPTON, ON. (Apr. 28, 2010) – Back by popular demand, the Region of Peel’s United Way Employee Campaign is pleased to announce its 2010 golf tournament in support of the United Way of Peel Region, which takes place Friday, May 28 at Lionhead Golf and Country Club in Brampton.
“Open to everyone, this popular tournament is a key part of the success of our annual campaign,” says Joanne Pattison, Co-Chair of the Region of Peel’s United Way Employee Campaign. “Last year’s tournament raised over $29,000 for those in need and we are confident we can top this amount. We encourage everyone to register, have fun and support a great cause at the same time.”
All proceeds of the golf tournament will go to the United Way of Peel Region, which funds local programs and agencies that inspire sustainable change to strengthen the community and improves lives.
For only $175, tournament participants will receive:
- BBQ lunch
- 18 holes of golf
- Golf cart
- Use of club house and locker room
- Free driving range access
- Gifts and prizes
- Silent auction
- Buffet dinner (cash bar)
The event kicks off May 28 at noon with lunch and registration; followed by a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. Golfers are welcome to sign up as foursomes or singles. The day concludes with a buffet dinner where gifts and prizes are awarded. Sponsorship opportunities are available and silent auction donations are being accepted.
