"Charlotte has clearly demonstrated that she is ready to lead the Region of Peel as Regional Clerk with a high degree

Appointed by members of Regional Council, the Regional Clerk plays a pivotal role in the operation and management of Regional Council business. The position involves implementing Council meeting rules and procedures and overseeing the preparation of primary municipal documentation including copies of program and service by-laws, reports, minutes and other records.

"I feel fortunate to have been selected as the new Director of the Clerk's division and Regional Clerk for the Region of Peel," said Charlotte. "The Council and administration of the Region of Peel are both very progressive, which makes for a truly inspiring work environment."

Prior to joining the Region as Manager of Legislative Services, Charlotte worked with the Council Secretariat Unit in the City of Toronto Clerk's Office. She brings to her new role an extensive background in the municipal sector and Council/Committee operations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration degree with the University of Western Ontario.

Charlotte also holds a professional designation with the Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario.

The Clerk's division, part of Peel's Corporate Services department, carries out a number of parliamentary duties as legislated by the provincial government.
