|THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF PEEL|
|BY-LAW NUMBER 67-2013|
A by-law to amend By-law 56-2008, being a by-law to establish the Interim Period Approvals Committee.
WHEREAS, the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel (“Regional Corporation”) on July 3, 2008 passed By-law 56-2008 to establish the Interim Period Approvals Committee and to delegate to it Council’s authority to approve the expenditure of funds, the acquisition of goods and services and the execution of documents during a council hiatus of more than 21 days;
AND WHEREAS, By-law 56-2008 authorizes staff of the Regional Corporation to exercise authority to ensure the continuity of conduct of the regional corporation’s business, which authority is limited by budgetary constraints imposed by the Financial Control By-law 45-2004;
AND WHEREAS, the Financial Control By-law 45-2004 was repealed by the Financial Management By-Law 49-2013 on May 9, 2013;
AND WHEREAS the Procedural By-law 57-2006, as amended by 122-207 was repealed by the Procedural By-law 100-2012 on November 2012;
AND WHEREAS, By-law 56-2008 makes reference to the Environment, Transportation and Planning Department which was changed to the Public Works Department;
AND WHEREAS, By-law 56-2008 makes reference to the Chairs and Vice Chairs of sections of General Committee which was disbanded;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts that By-law 56-2008 be amended as follows:
1. To delete reference to the Financial Control By-law 45-2004 and be replaced with Financial Management By-law 49-2013.
2. To delete reference to the Procedural By-law 57-2006, as amended by 122-207 and be replaced with the Procedural By-law 100-2012.
3. To delete reference to Environment, Transportation and Planning and be replaced with Public Works.
4. To delete reference to the General Committee and be replaced with Regional Council.
